The aABs shock pads are made of EPP (Expanded Polypropylene). This closed cell material has some unique features that make it the ideal shock absorbing underlay. EPP excels at absorbing energy, has a high impact resistance and is exceptionally strong in proportion to its weight. Additionally, it is resistant to many chemicals and provides thermal insulation. Moreover, EPP is fully recyclable. Renowned international studies show that EPP is the best material for shock pads.

High quality and environmentally friendly shock pads.

The shock pads are manufactured in an environmentally friendly way. For example, no fluorinated or chlorinated hydrocarbons are used in the process. To guarantee the high quality of the shock pads, the production process is monitored according to the exceedingly strict DIN ISO16949 standards.

 

Controlled raw materials, no chance of environmental damage.

In the market shock pads are available that are made of recycled materials (foam). This sounds very environmentally friendly at first. However, appearances can be deceiving. The raw material flow for these shock pads is not controllable. The raw materials come from many different manufacturers and from even more different production processes. Some foams contain heavy materials such as bromine, zinc, etc. Manufacturers of the recycled foam shock pads do not check this because it takes too much time and money. If you buy a recycled foam shock pad, you are purchasing the risk of applying environmentally unfriendly products.

EPP does not contain environmentally-unfriendly substances and can be completely recycled. Recycled EPP – like new EPP – always has the same, controlled composition.

There is a cheaper alternative: aABs shock pads. Since the shock pads feature horizontal drainage channels, they allow the run-off of enormous quantities of water. This obviates the need for separate drainage pipes, so the costs of the overall construction are lower.
